Your Olympic barbell has it's structural integrity covered under "intended use" parameters for 12 months. In this case, "intended use" largely refers to safe indoor use, as our barbells are susceptible to rusting when wet and can be scratched or damaged if not used correctly.
It's for these reasons that we strongly advise that when cleaning your barbell, you only use the following three items and never water:
- A good quality cleaning oil, like WD-40
- A brush to clean inside the crevices and knurling
- A clean rag to wipe away the excess
Your barbell will stay looking as good as new!
