Bumper plates between 10-25kg have their structural integrity covered for 12 months under "intended use" parameters. This does not include normal wear and tear!
5kg plates are only covered for 6 months as they are much thinner than the other plates. It is for this reason that 5kg plates should not be dropped on their own, and always accompanied by a heavier plate.
Intended use for these plates also refers to suitable surfaces. You must not drop these plates on harsh surfaces such as concrete or gravel. Only use them on gym flooring surfaces that are designed to absorb impact and ensure a long life.
You can clean your bumper plates with a rag and water to keep them looking fresh and shiny!
